Doncaster drew for the third league game in a row as Coventry held on for a point in a goalless stalemate.

Sean O'Driscoll's side dominated and captain Brian Stock came close with a free-kick that was tipped against the post by Keiren Westwood.

The home side were denied a penalty shout but Stephen Wright's block on Dean Shiels was judged to be fair.

Coventry's Leon Best dragged a decent shot wide and despite Rovers' best efforts, the Sky Blues held on.

Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll:

"It was a sparkling performance. We dominated from start to finish apart from putting the ball in the back of the net.

"If it wasn't for their keeper Kieren Westwood we would have been two or three goals up.

"But we've shown what we're capable of and hopefully we can take that into next week."

Coventry boss Chris Coleman:
"They're a good team, I'd pay money to watch Doncaster play, but it's a point gained for us and two lost for them.

"In the first half we were poor. Too many of us had under-par performances.

"We were too frivolous with possession but thankfully the back four held firm and kept their efforts at distance."
