Blackpool 1-1 Nottm Forest

Nottingham Forest earned a potentially crucial point in their relegation fight as they drew at 10-man Blackpool.

Dexter Blackstock was on hand to smash in from close range as Billy Davies's side took the lead after nine minutes.

Brett Ormerod then dashed clear of the defence to equalise against his former club, before Ian Evett saw red for a professional foul on Joe Garner.

Forest pushed for a winner but came up short as Blackpool held on for the point that seals their survival.

Blackpool assistant manager Shaun Barker:
"It was very nerve-wracking, especially towards the end.

"I began to fear the worst with our home form but in the end I think we deserved a point.

"It was a great finish by Brett and just at the right time."

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies:
"It is a disgrace and so are some of the surroundings.

"It was not rolled and not prepared properly. It was not a pitch on which to play football.

"As far as the spectators were concerned that must rank as a poor-quality game with little or no entertainment.

"We started badly, improved, but in the second half got the crosses in but could not finish."
