Blackpool 0-3 QPR

Heidar Helguson scored twice as QPR crushed Blackpool in Tuesday's Championship clash at Bloomfield Road.

Iceland's Helguson opened the scoring, heading in Wayne Routledge's cross to give the Londoners a half-time lead.

David Fox almost equalised with a fine drive, but Helguson doubled the lead, coolly slotting home from the spot after Ian Evatt brought down Lee Cook.

After Blackpool's substitute Stephen Crainey limped off, Hogan Ephraim poked in a third late on after Cook's pass.

QPR manager Paulo Sousa:
"I was delighted with that performance. We were told that it is a difficult pitch and ground but I think my players dealt with it well.

"They believe in what I have been doing my methods and my coaching and things are now beginning to work out for us on the pitch.

"The team is building up well and I think we are improving with each game."

Blackpool caretaker boss Tony Parkes:
"After Saturday's win over Birmingham this performance had all the looks of a hangover.

"We looked tired and looked a different team. There were some players who were just not there.

"We shall have to address this quickly."
