Sheff Utd 3-1 Charlton

Sheffield United came from behind in impressive fashion to maintain their promotion push against a Charlton side now without a win in 16 games.

Hameur Bouazza gave Charlton a shock lead after 33 minutes when he struck a fine 20-yard finish.

Stephen Quinn's clinical finish on 65 minutes levelled the scores.

Danny Webber gave the Blades the lead seven minutes later when he scored at the second attempt and Quinn's 20-yard free-kick sealed the points.

Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell:

"I made it clear we needed to be in or around the top six at Christmas so we are where we want to be.

"It's nice when you look at the table. But to say we were frustrating during the first half is an understatement.

"There was no guile, no brightness. The crowd gave the lads some stick, so credit to them for turning it around."

Charlton caretaker boss Phil Parkinson:

"If we'd played in the second half like we had done in the first, we'd have got a draw at least.

"But we all know it's not good enough to come somewhere like this and only play half a game. In the second half we played backwards and invited pressure.

"We gave away too many free-kicks and set-pieces and paid the price."
