Derby's Villa was villain and hero in an astonishing game
Derby and Nottingham Forest had to settle for a point each in a lively battle that ended in dramatic fashion.
After an uneventful first half the visitors took the lead with an Emanuel Villa own goal after a stunning Stephen Bywater save from Luke Chambers.
Derby levelled with Villa scooping in a Jordan Stewart free-kick, before Lewis McGugan saw red for a rash tackle.
In the dying seconds Lee Camp saved Nacer Barazite's penalty, before Miles Addison's headed goal was disallowed.
Derby manager Paul Jewell:
"We have just missed a penalty and their goalkeeper makes a great save from the corner, then we score again from the second. It's a great goal.
"You look and Forest aren't even complaining. I have never felt so aggrieved in my life.
"It would have been a great result for everyone in a game where we hadn't played particularly well."
Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood:
"I am disappointed we did not get more. We had them exactly where we wanted them for an away team in a derby and we should have done better.
"The talking points all happened in injury time, when it wasn't clear what was going off. I thought they had given us a free-kick, but he had actually given a penalty.
"That will go down in folklore, Lee Camp saving that penalty."
