Wolves kept their play-off hopes alive but ended Cardiff's with a convincing win at Molineux.

Andy Keogh put the home side ahead with his 11th goal of the season after eight minutes heading home Kevin Foley's cross from the right.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake added a second just before the break and was involved in the third on 56 minutes.

He forced a save from Peter Enckelman and Michael Kightly pounced first for the rebound.

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy:
"We didn't play as well (as against Ipswich) but we won. I don't know how you arrange that every week but if I could find the formula it would be great.

"We could win both our games and still not get into the play-offs. But it's there for someone to throw it away, it's happened before and it could happen again.

"We cannot throw it away. We can only win our games and get in there but whether that makes it any easier for us to bear, I don't know.

"The league is so topsy-turvy that I don't know what will happen come the last game of the season."

Cardiff assistant manager Terry Burton:
"In between the two boxes, we were arguably as good as Wolves and probably better, but unfortunately, it's what you do in the box that wins football matches.

"We got the ball in and around the Wolves box on many occasions but we weren't cutting enough with it. Our final pass let us down.

"In our own box, we've got to defend the balls better."
