West Brom ended Watford's unbeaten home run this season by comprehensively outclassing the Championship leaders.
Albrechtsen celebrates his goal for the Baggies at Vicarage Road
Ishmael Miller gave the visitors the lead just after the half-hour mark when he collected a rebound after an effort form ex-Watford striker Kevin Phillips.
Phillips then scored a rebound of his own less than two minutes later when he scored after Zolten Gera's strike came back off the crossbar.
Martin Albrechtsen headed in a third as the Baggies sealed the win.
Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd:
"It was a fair scoreline. West Brom did everything better than us throughout and I have no complaints.
"I won't get depressed. What annoyed me most was that we didn't stick to our gameplan against a very good side.
"You have these days as a club and you have to bounce back. If we can kick on then this will be a good result for us."
West Brom manager Tony Mowbray:
"I never doubted our style. The key message which I drummed into the players before the game was that if you don't stand up to Watford you lose.
"We stood up to the challenge superbly and once we were ahead I thought we looked very comfortable.
"If we keep winning we have a chance of the top two and maybe this will be a springboard for us to keep pushing."
