Matt Sparrow diverted in a loose ball to give Scunthorpe a dramatic last-gasp win over Sheffield United.
Skipper Andy Crosby volleyed Iron ahead, with Matt Paterson outpacing Blades' skipper Chris Morgan to run on and double their lead.
Danny Webber twice latched on to flick-ons from James Beattie to drag the Blades back into the match.
Scunthorpe's Cliff Byrne and Blades' Derek Geary were sent off for fighting before Sparrow's last-minute winner.
Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins:
"It was the right time with half an hour to go to introduce an ex-Sheffield United player in Forte.
"And low and behold within 30 seconds he put Martin Paterson through who did ever so well for the goal.
"As for Kevan, he's been a revelation. He's been top drawer and he works so hard he epitomises the team."
Sheffield United boss Bryan Robson:
"We started playing and put them on the back foot and we got back into the game.
"But the other thing for me that costs you points and matches is ill-discipline.
"That's what cost us when we got back to 2-2. The players didn't play with their football brains. We started giving needless free-kicks away."
