Wolves twice came from behind to earn a point against Plymouth at Molineux.
The Pilgrims took the lead against the run of play when Scott Sinclair went on a mazy run and cut in from the left to fire through the legs of Matt Murray.
Luke Summerfield's free-kick hit a post before Wolves levelled, Stephen Ward tapping in from Andy Keogh's cross.
Plymouth made it 2-1 when Krisztian Timar forced home a corner, but Wolves equalised again when Seyi Olofinjana headed in from Michael McIndoe's chip.
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy:
"We are certainly in with a shout of the play-offs, though it would make it easier if we won all our home games, but we have not.
"Against Plymouth we played some good stuff, some frustrating stuff, conceded two poor goals, scored two good ones and could have won or could have lost.
"Welcome to the rollercoaster ride which is Wolverhampton Wanderers."
Plymouth boss Ian Holloway on chasing the play-offs:
"I want to be up at the top of this division, challenging for promotion. There is no reason we cannot reach the play-offs, that's the target.
"Everybody thinks we are a small club - everybody but us - but we are building a young, fresh and energetic squad.
"To have gone to Wolves and played so well and only got one point leaves me very disappointed."
