Leeds 2-1 Coventry

Jonathon Douglas' first goal for Leeds handed the Elland Road club a first victory in eight games.

Leeds led when Eddie Lewis' corner was flicked on and an unmarked David Healy rifled a low shot home.

Robbie Blake hit the crossbar but Coventry equalised when Adam Virgo sidefooted in from Kevin Kyle's cross.

Douglas pounced when Coventry keeper Andy Marshall could only parry, but Coventry could have snatched a point when Kyle headed against the post.

Leeds boss Dennis Wise on striker David Healy:
"Healy did fantastically well and I was chuffed to bits for him.

"He's been going through a bit of a barren spell and he knew he wasn't doing great but we've tried to help him.

"He's taken it all on board and he's doing well. This is what David has to do for himself, and he seemed like he had an extra yard today.

"He was probably lacking a bit of confidence but he's gradually getting back into it."

Coventry boss Micky Adams:
"The name of the game is putting the ball in the back of the net and we've not done that.

"It takes us to go a goal down before we wake from out slumbers and that's disappointing."
