Leeds 0-1 Crystal Palace

Jobi McAnuff scored the only goal of the game to boost Crystal Palace's play-off hopes and dent Leeds' automatic promotion chances.

Striker Andrew Johnson laid the ball into the path of McAnuff who slotted the ball past goalkeeper Neil Sullivan with a low shot just before half-time.

Johnson went close twice while Fitz Hall also missed a good opportunity.

Leeds' best chance came through Rob Hulse, but his header was parried by goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly.

Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell:
"Apart from not getting the goal, I thought it was a good game and that we had enough possession.

"But we weren't decisive enough in the last third.

"It was the last third that was our problem. We dominated for long spells. For all the possession and pressure, we didn't create enough to hurt them."

Crystal Palace boss Iain Dowie on automatic promotion:
"It's never too late when it's statistically possible.  

"Sheffield United are still in the box seat because they've got points in the bag and that's important at this time.

"But we've got to play them and (third-placed) Watford and if we win those, the picture changes."
