Wolves 0-0 Stoke
Championship play-off hopefuls Wolves were held to a draw by Stoke in a low-key affair at Molineux.

Striker Carl Cort had the home team's best chance but he prodded a volley wide after a mistake by defender Michael Duberry.

Stoke were disciplined and came close when a Clint Hill header was pushed on to the bar by keeper Stefan Postma.

A Lee Naylor cross also came back off the woodwork for Wolves but both sides struggled to create clear openings.

  • Wolves manager Glenn Hoddle:
"We didn't deserve more than a point.

"It's disappointing in a sense that it was a chance to gain some points.

"It would have been a nice advantage for us to get the three points but quite frankly we didn't deserve it."

  • Stoke assistant manager Jan de Koning:
"It was a good point for us because Wolves is always a difficult game to play away.

"At home they murdered us, but defensively we did well here and maybe that was because we played a little bit differently this time.

"We played 4-3-3 and we sat back deeper than we usually do and that made it difficult for them to score a goal."
