Wolves 1-0 Ipswich
Kenny Miller scored from the penalty spot after Castro Sito fouled Jeremie Aliadiere as Wolves defeated Ipswich to stay in the hunt for a play-off place.

The goal came after 73 minutes, though Miller might have scored after 25 seconds but for a Fabian Wilnis block.

Darren Anderton later forced a save from Ipswich keeper Shane Supple.

Dean McDonald almost converted a cross for Ipswich, while Darren Currie curled a shot just wide and Stefan Postma saved from Scott Barron.

  • Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle:
"I've always said this is not a sprint, this is like the Grand National and at some stage of the season we would end up going on a run.

"We're coming to the business stage of the season and if we can go up to Hull and do something by getting a third victory, that will go a long way to restoring some belief here and maybe making a few other people sit up and take notice."

  • Ipswich manager Joe Royle:
"I can't dispute that it was a penalty.

"Our right-back has been outstanding for us but when he does make a mistake, there is a tendency for the ball to end up in the back of our net.

"And that was the only way I could see Wolves scoring - from a penalty, a corner or a free kick."
