Leeds 1-1 Wolverhampton
A Michael Oakes howler gifted Leeds a point as two of the Championship's draw specialists suffered another blow to their fading play-off dreams.

Striker Carl Cort put the visitors ahead five minutes before the break, nodding home a Lee Naylor corner.

That roused Leeds, who came close to an equaliser through Rob Hulse before Shaun Derry earned a free-kick.

Oakes should have dealt with Derry's curler, but instead punched the ball into the roof of his own net.

  • Leeds assistant manager Sam Ellis
"We've never been shouting about the play-offs, they were always a hope rather than an expectation.

"There are six games to go, and although we don't want to look too far forward, you do have to plan.

"But we will still be trying to win games and still trying to see what we can do."

  • Wolves manager Glenn Hoddle
"I have told Michael (Oakes) mistakes happen and it's how you react to them. He kept a cool head after that and he has a good temperament and will bounce back.

"He has been magnificent for us in recent matches.

"We're so close to winning matches, which makes it all the more frustrating, but we have been playing a lot of good football."
