Loan striker Michael Ricketts opened his Cardiff account

Michael Ricketts' first goal in Cardiff colours was enough to give the home side victory over Leicester.
Cardiff showed plenty of attacking intent from the start at Ninian Park and scored after just eight minutes.
Jason Koumas swung in a corner from the left and loan signing Ricketts judged his run perfectly to get ahead of his marker and head low into the corner.
Iain Hume did hit the back of the net for Leicester, but it was disallowed as the referee blew for offside.
Cardiff manager Dave Jones:
"I was very happy with Michael Ricketts and the lad deserved his goal.
"He needs games and he needs goals and, hopefully, when fully fit, he may get back to where he was a year or two ago.
"Michael's inclusion up front will take some of the pressure off Cameron Jerome and give the young lad a little bit more space.
Leicester manager Craig Levein:
"I am very frustrated because our goalkeeper never had a save to make. We were the better side, yet we've got nothing from the game.
"I asked the referee why our goal was disallowed and he said it was for offside, so there is nothing I can do.
"I can't believe we have lost. We had a great chance to level in those hectic last minutes, but it wasn't our day."
