QPR 0-0 Brighton
QPR ended their losing run with a goalless draw against Brighton but their point was marred by a straight red card for Paul Furlong.

The home side started well and Kevin Gallen saw his shot cleared off the line by Adam Hinshelwoood.

QPR again pushed forward though it was Brighton who almost stole a goal through substitute Leon Knight.

But the match ended bitterly after 85 minutes when Furlong was sent off for appearing to kick out at Hinshelwood.

  • QPR boss Ian Holloway: "If Paul Furlong kicked out at the Brighton player, he will be disciplined.

"We have to be more professional, because our squad is stretched and we cannot afford to lose vital players.

"It is a good job the decision did not change the game."

  • Brighton manager Mark McGhee: "I would like to stay, but there is uncertainty because of the financial situation.

"I accept that the club are not yet in a position to talk to me about it.

"Adam Hinshelwood is a tough player, and I would not expect my players to go down unless there is a very good reason to do so."
