Cardiff 1-1 Wolves
Cameron Jerome celebrates his goal
Cameron Jerome opened the scoring for Cardiff
A second-half strike from top scorer Kenny Miller gave Glenn Hoddle his third successive 1-1 draw since taking over as Wolves manager.

Cardiff took the lead after just three minutes, a long ball headed on by Peter Thorne for Cameron Jerome to coolly slot home from six yards.

They stayed in front until 75 minutes when Carl Cort nodded a corner down for Miller to finish from close range.

Junichi Inamoto came on from the bench but could not win it for the Bluebirds.

  • Cardiff City manager Lennie Lawrence
"I changed the system a little with Tony Vidmar playing just in front of the back four and, apart from the equalising goal, it generally worked.

"I was happy with the application of the side and we looked good on the break, and I am more than happy with the performance.

"Vidmar played well in his new role and that is a bonus for us. Although we allowed them a lot of possession we were never really in trouble.

"I am looking at continuing the diamond formation and - although I may tweak the side a little for the next game - I am sure it is a system we can continue to use."

  • Wolves manager Glenn Hoddle
"My three games in charge have all been the same story - one down to a sloppy goal and then having to work hard to level.

"I am not panicking, but I would like to see how we would cope after going a goal up.

"Cardiff's front two were very hard working and caused us a few problems, but their goal was down to poor defending.

"We showed great spirit but still have to be more clinical in the last third."
