Wolves 2-1 Nottm Forest
Forest's poor run of form continued as managerless Wolves claimed a slender victory at Molineux.

The home side took the lead in the first-half from the spot, Kevin Cooper converting the penalty after Michael Dawson hauled down Carl Cort.

Forest hit back minutes later through David Johnson's close range strike from Andy Reid's corner.

But Danish defender Mikkel Bischoff headed his first goal for Wolves to seal the win just before half-time.

  • Wolves caretaker boss Stuart Gray:
"I said I'd settle for a 1-0 win because I think it was just a case of getting three points on the board.

"But all credit to the players because it was a fantastic performance. We just couldn't get the third goal to kill them off.

"My brief was to take temporary charge and I've not applied for the job. They know where I am, they've got my CV on record."

  • Nottingham Forest manager Joe Kinnear yet again failed to attend the post-match news conference.

Kinnear has failed to appear after each of Forest's last five league games with the Reds currently second-from-bottom.
