Brighton 1-3 Crystal Palace

Brighton 1-3 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace's Glenn Murray scored against his former club as they came back to defeat rivals Brighton.

Craig Mackail-Smith gave Brighton a seventh-minute lead when he scored from Gary Dicker's delivery.

The visitors dominated the second half and were rewarded when Wilifred Zaha finished well in the 80th minute.

Palace led when Jonathan Parr fed Darren Ambrose who stabbed in after 89 minutes before Murray curled in the late clincher.

It meant a first league defeat for Brighton at their new Amex Stadium.

The result was just reward for Palace after they missed a series of chances before equalising including a Paddy McCarthy header that was cleared off the line by Mackail-Smith.

Shortly before half-time, Murray missed a chance to silence the boo boys when he was sent through by Jonathan Williams but he scuffed his shot wide.

But Murray had the last laugh with his stoppage-time goal.
