Blackburn 1-2 Fulham
Louis Saha put Fulham on level terms

Ten-man Fulham fought back to beat Blackburn Rovers and inflict an unlikely defeat on the Lancashire club at Ewood Park.

Jean Tigana's men were up against it when having fallen behind to a Matt Jansen header on six minutes they then had Rufus Brevett sent off five minutes before the break.

But the Londoners rallied and Louis Saha capitalised on an error by Brad Friedel to equalise on the stroke of half-time.

And Sean Davis completed the incredible comeback by netting in injury time to take Fulham through the 90 point mark and leave them just one victory from promotion.

It was rough on Blackburn who had peppered the Fulham goal in the second half but failed to make their one-man advantage count.

Jansen had put the home side ahead after a bright opening from the second-placed club.

Damien Duff switched the play to the Blackburn right and Keith Gillespie's cross to the far post was perfectly placed for Jansen to head in his 20th goal of the season.

Fulham suffered a major blow when Brevett, who had already been booked, received a straight red card after kicking out at Garry Flitcroft following a challenge with the Rovers midfielder.

Fulham's equaliser arrived in bizarre fashion as Friedel presented Saha with an easy finish.

The American goalkeeper left his line to claim a Steve Finnan cross but having claimed the ball with both hands he collided with defender Henning Berg and spilled the ball.

Unfortunately for Friedel it fell straight into the path of Saha and he gratefully accepted the opportunity.

Saha was well denied by Friedel after the break but Blackburn became the dominant attacking force with Jansen and Flitcroft among those going close to reinstating their lead.

But the home crowd's frustration turned to despair in injury time.

A rare Fulham break saw a Clark shot deflect into the path of Davis and he slotted the ball past Friedel to take Fulham 16 points clear at the top.
