Vincent completes Pompey move
Jamie Vincent
Vincent has made a north-south switch
Portsmouth boss Steve Claridge has sealed the signing of Huddersfield defender Jamie Vincent for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old requested a transfer earlier this year after his family returned south when they were unable to settle in the region.

Terriers boss Lou Macari rejected a bid of around 700,000 from Portsmouth for the full-back in January.

But once Claridge made his interest in the player public knowledge last month, Vincent made up his mind to quit.

Vincent said: "My mind was made up and now I'm returning to the south coast where all of my family and friends are. Joining Portsmouth is a dream move and my only regret is that I leave Town in the bottom three.

Macari told Huddersfield's official website: "I've always said that any transfers will be to our benefit and there was no point in keeping Jamie once his mind was elsewhere."
