Wolves seal Butler deal
Paul Butler
Butler is a Republic of Ireland international
Wolves have completed the 1m signing of Sunderland defender Paul Butler, who joins the club on a three-and-a-half year deal.

Butler impressed during a five-game loan spell at Molineux before Christmas and was expected to sign a permanent contract.

But the move was put on hold after manager Colin Lee was sacked.

"I'm pleased it's all been signed, sealed and delivered," said new boss Dave Jones.

"Paul's a very experienced player who's been in this division, knows what it takes to get out of it and wants to get where he feels he belongs."

Butler, a Republic of Ireland international, is expected to make his Wolves debut against Gillingham at the weekend.
