New Redditch style pleases Whild

Whild wants the Reds to impose their new style of play against Stafford.

Redditch United manager Gary Whild has praised his squad's new playing style, which has seen them climb to 11th in the Blue Square North table.

The Reds shocked high-flying Southport with a 3-2 win last weekend.

"We're starting to climb the table now into the top half which, for a club like Redditch, is fantastic," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"We're conscious of trying to play a different way. Hopefully we're attractive to watch too," he added.

Whild says it is important his players now maintain their self-belief for the rest of the season.

"We need to take the confidence we've gained this season so far into the games we've got coming up," he said.

Redditch travel with a fully fit squad to eight-placed Stafford Rangers on Saturday.
