Christmas period crucial for Eastbourne Boro - Wilson
Wilson won the Conference South play-off final with Eastbourne in 2008
Eastbourne Borough boss Garry Wilson says the festive period will be 'crucial' to their hopes of securing a Blue Square Bet South play-off place.
The Sports currently lie 13th in the table, nine points behind fifth-placed Sutton United in the play-off zone.
"In the Christmas period, it's crucial we pick up some points," Wilson told BBC Sussex.
"It takes a run of three or four games in a row and you're back in the frame. We're more than capable of it."
After going six league games without a win, the Sussex side have now taken four points from their last two games, thanks to their 3-1 win at Bromley, followed by last Tuesday night's 2-2 home draw with Truro.
But, although they came from behind to claim a point against Truro with a late Ben Watson equaliser, Boro boss Wilson is still looking for improvement.
"We should have got six points," he added. "Within the games, there's been inconsistency.
"We've been determined but, with our game, there's areas where we still need to tighten up. I know we can do better."
