Draw is a stepping stone for Eastbourne, says Wilson

Eastbourne Borough manager Garry Wilson believes their goalless draw away to Havant & Waterlooville can be a platform to climb the table.

The Sports, who are 13th in Blue Square Bet South, are on a run of four league games without a win.

He told BBC Sussex: "There's been a little bit of bickering going around with losing games - maybe more frustration than anything else.

"We played some wonderful stuff and it's a stepping stone."

He added: "The boys have been down and I'm pleased with the response from the last few games.

"I'm proud of them and I'm pleased for my coaches.

"Nick Greenwood and Steve Eke have worked hard to put it right and between us we got to where we wanted to be."
