Tonbridge Angels win five-goal thriller

Tonbridge Angels came from behind to win 3-2 for the second game running.

After beating Thurrock seven days ago, this time they beat Staines Town with goals from Scott Kinch, Frannie Collin and Tim Olorunda.

The win puts them in 10th and was Tommy Warrilow's side's first back-to-back wins of the season.

He told BBC Radio Kent: "We could have made it more comfortable, we deserved the win. It's not a plan to go behind but we do it most weeks."

"We do get caught on counter-attacks," he added.

"We hoped we'd get the elusive winner and thankfully we did. Clean sheets win you leagues, we know that.

"I'm not happy with the goals we concede, we can't keep relying on scoring three every game. We have to switch on for 90 minutes and not make it hard for ourselves."

Dartford missed the chance to go second as they drew 1-1 with Weston-super-Mare. Adam Green scored their only goal at the end of the first half.

Dover Athletic suffered their first league defeat under manager Nicky Forster, 4-2 at Boreham Wood, despite going ahead through Harry Baker's early goal.

Elsewhere Kwesi Appiah became Kent's first player to score 20 goals this season as he hit four in Margate's 5-0 win over Wingate and Finchley in the Ryman Premier Division.

Maidstone, who announced the signing of former Trinidad & Tobago world cup goalkeeper Kelvin Jack this week, increased their lead at the top of Ryman Division One South with a 4-1 win over Ramsgate.

Herne Bay increased their unbeaten league run to 26 games, dating back to January, as they beat Sevenoaks to remain top of the Kent League.
