Harrogate Town sign Blyth Spartans' Brayson & Turnbull
Harrogate Town have signed striker Paul Brayson and midfielder Stephen Turnbull from Blyth Spartans.
The pair are manager Simon Weaver's fourth and fifth new signings for the 2011/12 Blue Square Bet North campaign.
Weaver told BBC Radio York: "I'm really delighted to get these two on board, we've been tracking them for some time.
"Paul Brayson is a fantastic poacher in front of goal, he's very dangerous and sharp. Turnbull has impressed me with his attitude, he really wants to win."
Brayson, 33, scored 60 goals in 90 appearances for Blyth and was Blue Square Bet North's top scorer this season.
He also had a 7-month spell at York City, where he scored four goals.
Turnbull, 24, netted 10 goals last season and was Blyth supporters' player of the year.
"He provides a real option going forward, he can cut inside on his right or he can go down the line on his left," added Weaver.
"John [McDermott, assistant] and I have immersed ourselves trying to get good players in to bolster us up, even before March."
