AFC Wimbledon 6-1 Fleetwood (agg 8-1)

Kaid Mohamed
Mohamed had only scored twice for the Dons before Wednesday's second leg

Kaid Mohamed smashed a hat-trick as AFC Wimbledon cruised into the Blue Square Bet Premier play-off final with a stunning 8-1 aggregate victory.

Fleetwood were on the back foot after losing the first leg 2-0 but Welshman Mohamed made it an uphill task, hitting home from 12 yards inside 27 seconds.

Top scorer Danny Kedwell struck a second before Mohamed scored again.

Gareth Seddon pulled one back, Mohammed completing his treble before late goals for Chris Jolley and James Mulley.

The Dons now play Luton Town in the final at the City of Manchester Stadium on 21 May.

Already two up from last week's first leg, it took less than a minute for Mohamed to effectively finish the tie, cutting in from the right to fire home.

But Seddon was denied a brilliant save from home keeper Seb Brown on the quarter-hour, before skipper Kedwell doubled the Dons' advantage on 28 minutes.

Sam Hatton played him in with a neat pass from the right wing and Kedwell kept his composure to slot home his 24th goal of an impressive campaign.

Brown then pulled off another superb stop to keep out a George Donnelly drive in the 35th minute.

And, from the breakaway, the home side made it three, Mohamed coverting Luke Moore's right-wing cross.

Seddon finally got his name on the scoresheet early in the second half when he knocked in the rebound after Sean Clancy's shot was saved by Brown.

But Mohamed soon restored the Dons' three-goal cushion from close range after Danny Hurst had parried a Rashid Yussuff shot straight to Steven Gregory, he fired against the post and the ball fell kindly for Mohamed.

It was 5-1 on the night after 67 minutes when Jolley was given two chances to score having seen his first shot saved by Hurst.

And Mulley iced the cake with a neat finish from six yards with 10 minutes remaining.
