Pickering Town are looking for a new manager after Mitch Cook took the vacant role at Bridlington Town.

Cook took over at the Northern Counties East League club following Mark Wood's resignation early in the season after three years in the role.

Chairman Keith Usher told BBC Radio York: "We're hoping we'll get a good calibre of people applying for the job.

"We'll see what they can offer Pickering Town football club because that's our first priority."

Usher added: "It depends what they want as well and whether we can accommodate them."

Former Scarborough manager Cook became boss at Mill Lane after his previous club, Scarborough Town, folded in 2010.

Usher continued: "It was tremendous, his contribution both on and off the field.

"He brought a good class of football to the club. He's very much appreciated for what he's done and we're sad to see him go."
