Liam Watson's Southport earned a vital win at relegation rivals Tamworth in a tempestuous game of four red cards.

Steve Daly notched the only goal of the game from Matty McGinn's corner before Daniel Bradley and Danny Thomas wasted good chances for the hosts.

Both teams were reduced to 10 men in injury time, with Tamworth keeper Mitchell and Southport's Robert Marsh-Evans both going for violent conduct.

Tamworth had Michael Wylde and Richard Tait sent off after the final whistle.
