Coalville Town boss cools Wembley FA Vase expectation

Non-league football

Coalville Town manager Adam Stevens is not dreaming of Wembley despite taking a commanding lead into the FA Vase semi-final second leg at King's Lynn.

The Leicestershire Midland Football Alliance league side secured a 3-0 home win last Saturday thanks to two Jerome Murdock shots and a Lee Miveld header.

But Stevens said this Saturday's return game is far from a foregone conclusion.

"They didn't cause us a great deal of problems but it is only half-time," Stevens told BBC Radio Leicester.

"We went into this as massive underdogs but I have great belief in my team and when we click we are outstanding. And we were outstanding.

"They [Coalville players] are a good bunch. We are not getting carried away.

"The lads are level-headed and we will go again and look to win. We are not going there to sit back: that's not what we are about."

If Coalville overcome the United Counties League Premier Division side, they will face Poole Town or holders Whitley Bay in the final.
