Grimsby Town 2-1 Kettering

Blue Square Bet Premier

Grimsby Town put an end to their recent poor form by beating lowly Kettering.

Things looked gloomy for the Mariners, who had lost their past three matches, when Tom Flanagan put the visitors ahead with a 25-yard strike.

But Robert Atkinson's header from Rob Eagle's cross sent the sides in level at the break, before Eagle then grabbed the winner himself from six yards out.

It was a nervy finish for the hosts after Lee Peacock saw red for a foul on Brett Solkhon, but they held out.
