Crawley Town 2-0 Kidderminster Harriers

Scott Neilson
Neilson's goal was his first for the club since his summer move from Bradford

Blue Square Bet Premier leaders Crawley saw off Kidderminster with a strong second-half performance.

The Reds started brightly, midfielder Ben Smith forcing visiting keeper Danny Lewis into a fine save.

After a scrappy start to the second-half, Scott Neilson broke the deadlock with a superb strike from distance.

Chris McPhee went close with a header for Kidderminster before Craig McAllister's breakaway goal sealed the win for the hosts.

As the visitors went in search of an equaliser they were caught out on the break, Matt Tubbs crossing for McAllister to finish neatly.

Kidderminster almost notched a consolation in the last minute, Tom Shaw's free-kick forcing Michel Kuipers into an excellent save.

Crawley's lead at the top of the table has been extended to three points after AFC Wimbledon were held to a draw at Forest Green.
