AFC Telford agree to sign defender Liam Murray

AFC Telford United

AFC Telford United boss Andy Sinton has made his third signing since taking over as manager by bringing in Solihull Moors defender Liam Murray.

The former Shrewsbury defender has verbally agreed to join the Bucks.

"We've agreed terms and conditions with him," assistant manager Darren Read told BBC Radio Shropshire.

"He's a very well established centre-half. He's been playing at this level for the last three or four years. He starts training with us next week."

Murray joined Stafford Rangers in 2006 and played for them in the football conference under manager Phil Robinson. His other clubs include Redditch United, King's Lynn and Solihull Moors.

"He has a no-nonsense, professional approach that will enhance the back line," Read added.

Telford are continuing to hold talks with a number of players, including a goalkeeper.
