Sole, Arter and Sinclair leave Woking

Woking

Woking have released striker Giuseppe Sole and defender Tony Sinclair while midfielder Harry Arter is set to join promoted League Two side Bournemouth.

Arter, 21, has agreed a deal with the Cherries, with the fee to be decided by a Football Association tribunal.

Manager Graham Baker told BBC Surrey: "We offered terms to Harry and he declined them. We were lucky to have him for 12 months.

"He should be plying his trade in League football."

He added: "Woking supporters will have enjoyed watching him play."

Arter made 44 appearances for the Cards after joining from Charlton, while Sinclair, 25, played 47 times after signing from Welling last summer.

"We offered Tony a contract but at this time he wants to keep his options open, right through to the beginning of the season," said Baker.

Sole, 22, scored 57 goals in 171 appearances during his spell with his hometown club.

"Financially we couldn't offer terms to Giuseppe with the money he was on. He's a local boy and has given unbelievable service to the club," Baker said.

"In an ideal world you want to keep all your best players. It's the challenge of a manager to go and find replacements equal, if not better, than what you lost.

"We have to make sure we remain competitive. That's all I ask."
