Bath City 1-0 Woking

Blue Square South

Kaid Mohamed's second-half penalty won the Blue Square South play-off final for Bath City to secure them a place in next season's Conference top flight.

It was stalemate at half-time at Twerton Park, Woking's Moses Ademola going closest when he hit the post.

But Bath made the breakthrough 10 minutes into the second half as Ross Warner brought down Darren Edwards for the penalty which Mohamed converted.

Woking found the net through Craig Faulconbridge but it was ruled offside.

Bath City manager Adie Britton told BBC Somerset:

"It'll take me days for it to sink in. It's just fantastic and words can't describe it.

"To get a side into the Conference, which today is just an extension of the Football League, is just amazing.

"We need investment in the club, but to see a crowd like this turn up today, it gives you a chance if you can get them back on a regular basis and that's got to be our goal."
