Truro's caretaker boss Lee Hodges guided his side to their sixth win in eight matches on Wednesday, with a 2-1 victory at local rivals Tiverton Town.
Joe Bushin opened the scoring for Tiverton after 41 minutes, before late goals from Barry McConnell and Joe Broad help the Tigers take the points.
The result strengthens Hodges' bid to take on the managerial role full-time at the end of the season.
Hodges is now set for talks about the vacant post with chairman Kevin Heaney.
City are now 11th in the Southern Premier League standings, whilst Tiverton remain in trouble at the wrong end of the table, with just one place and two points separating them from the relegation places.
