Luton Town 4-0 Salisbury City

Luton Town top scorer Tom Craddock hit his 18th strike of the season

In-form Luton Town maintained their amazing scoring spree as they climbed into the Blue Square Premier top two with another handsome victory.

It took until 35 minutes for Claude Gnapka to head home Fred Murray's cross - his sixth goal in three matches.

Top scorer Tom Craddock then quickly added a close-range second.

And the Hatters wrapped it up after the break with an 18-yard strike from Jake Howells and another from Simon Heslop to make it 18 goals in three games.

Salisbury's only effort of note came when Chris Shephard's first-half shot from just outside the area was parried by Luton keeper Mark Tyler.

It was Luton's seventh straight win, to help them overtake Oxford and climb into second place.

But they remain five points behind neighbours Stevenage, ahead of Saturday's now keenly-anticipated likely title decider against the leaders at Broadhall Way (3 April, 1500 BST).

Luton manager Richard Money said: "The performance was in my humble opinion better than Saturday's, and it could have been the same scoreline.

"I thought we were very good in all departments, and at the minute we are very good in all the little areas people don't see. We're winning second balls, winning tackles, winning headers, and those things are crucial. Hopefully, touch wood, the team has finally got the message."
