Colne hope to extend winning run in Vodkat League

Non-league football

The latest round of games in the Vodkat League gives a number of Lancashire clubs the opportunity to continue their recent good form.

In the Premier Division, Colne, with five wins in their last six games, will start as favourites against Alsager.

Ramsbottom beat Bootle 6-3 in October and they be hoping for a repeat performance when the two sides meet again at the Riverside.

Squires Gate will also fancy their chances at Ashton Athletic.

Nelson entertain St Helens Town at Victoria Park, looking to build on last week's win over Winsford which ended a run of four home games without a win.

Bacup Borough are the latest team attempting to halt the progress of unbeaten runaway league leaders Newcastle Town, with the Staffordshire side the visitors at the Brian Boys Stadium.

Padiham lost to Newcastle last week, and they face a similarly tough game against New Mills.

In Division One, promotion-chasing Barnoldswick Town have now gone 12 games without defeat, and the visit of second-from-bottom Cheadle Town should give them the opportunity to extend their unbeaten run.

AFC Blackpool have won five of their last six home games, and they host Atherton Collieries at the Mechanics, a side they beat twice on successive Saturdays in league and cup games in October.
