Jefferson Louis and Michael Corcoran scored either side of the break as Rushden & Diamonds beat Eastbourne to move fourth in the Blue Square Premier.
Diamonds dominated in the first half, but had to wait until a minute into stoppage time to break through.
Craig Farrell's free-kick found on-loan Crawley striker Louis, who headed home his ninth goal of the season.
Corcoran made it 2-0 five minutes into the second period when he looped home a header from Craig Farrell's corner.

Rushden & Diamonds manager Justin Edinburgh:
"It was solid rather than spectacular.
"In a tight game it took two set-pieces to win us the game. But overall I thought we were worthy of the win."
