Kidderminster 4-1 Grays Athletic

Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr
Burr's first game in charge of Harriers was a 2-2 draw at Crawley

Kidderminster boss Steve Burr enjoyed a winning home debut as Harriers eased to victory over second-from-bottom Grays.

Brian Smikle opened the scoring via the woodwork and Damian Spencer doubled the lead after a good turn and finish.

Grays had hope when Jamie Guy slotted a penalty after a Martin Riley handball, before ex-caretaker boss John Finnigan netted from just inside the area.

Chris McPhee made it four from the spot after Smikle was fouled, before Grays' Harlee Dean struck a post.

Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr told BBC Hereford and Worcester:

"I could not have asked for more really, to get a win in in the manner we got it.

"I like to see goals and clearly the supporters do, I thought we were a bit unlucky with the penalty.

"I am still getting to know the players not just as they are on the park but as people, in the dressing room, on the training ground, and it's still early days."

Grays Athletic manager Julian Dicks told BBC Essex:

"We just gave stupid goals away again, like we do every single week.

"We have to address it, there's players out there that aren't good enough.

"You can't keep conceding four goals and expect the team to score five."
