AFC Telford United goalkeeper Ryan Young says he hopes to become a club legend at Telford as he is prepares to make his 150th appearance for the club.

The 29-year-old will reach the milestone when the Bucks face Corby in the Blue Square North on Wednesday.

"One day I'd like to be on the legends board, that's my aim," he told BBC Radio Shropshire.

"Hopefully I've got hundreds of performances left in me but we need three points against Corby."

Young made his debut in Telford's 5-3 pre-season defeat by Chester in July 2007.

"Everybody remembers my debut game at Chester. It was a bad day for me, with 3,500 fans bearing down on me," he said.

Young made a number of mistakes in the defeat but he thanked manager Rob Smith for sticking by him.

"It's paid off," he said. "I'm really grateful for what they did for me. It was the hardest time in my career."

Young joined Telford from Hednesford Town and his previous clubs include Kettering Town and Redditch.
