Church's goal was his third of the season for Boston United
Boston United midfielder Anthony Church felt their 3-3 draw with Burscough in the Unibond Premier Division was two points dropped rather than one gained.
Ashton Bayliss' 90th-minute equaliser denied the Pilgrims victory after they twice came back from a goal down.
Church, who scored Boston's first goal, told BBC Lincolnshire: "The lads were really down and deflated, we wanted to keep our winning run going.
"It always feels like a defeat when you concede in the last couple of minutes."
He added: "It definitely feels like two points lost rather than a point gained against a side I think we're better than.
"We've got high expectations. We want to win every game because we honestly think we're the best in the league and we can beat anyone when we're on form."
Church's goal after 32 minutes cancelled out Darren Byers' 12th-minute opener.
Cayne Handley restored the visitors' lead in the 39th minute but Boston levelled within two minutes through Spencer Weir-Daley and took the lead five minutes after the break thanks to Marc Newsham's 16th goal of the season.
In the Unibond First Division South, Grantham Town slipped to a sixth defeat in seven as they lost 4-1 at Mickleover sports, despite taking the lead through Martin Wormall.
Lincoln United lost 2-0 at Glapwell and Spalding United went down 5-3 at Loughborough Dynamo, with the Tulips' goals coming from Matt Evans, Ben Garrick and Andy Toyne.
Tony Battersby and Ricky Miller scored for Stamford in their 3-2 defeat at home to Chasetown.
