I've loved every minute - Heggs

King's Lynn manager Carl Heggs says he will look back on his time at the club with fondness and pride after they were wound up by the High Court.

It looks increasingly likely the club will fold after Wednesday's order and they have cancelled Saturday's game with Guiseley at The Walks.

Heggs said: "I'll keep King's Lynn in my heart for the rest of my career because I've had a wonderful time.

"It's just a shame it has to finish. We were building a good future."

The news came at the worst possible time as Heggs' side were on a fine run of form, and sat fourth in the Unibond Premier Division.

He continued: "In the last 10 games, we've won eight and drawn two and I couldn't see us going anywhere but from strength to strength."

But the financial burden appears to have proven too much.

"I didn't know at any stage that the football club was in such a crisis financially," he said.

The club now has until Wednesday to appeal against the winding-up order or they will cease to exist.
