Wendron United withdraw from SWPL

Football

Wendron United AFC have withdrawn from the South West Peninsula League Division One West.

The Cornish club, which is based between Penryn and Helston, were bottom of the table and without a win in the league all season.

Wendron had only scored one goal so far this term, leading to a dismal goal difference of minus 59.

All games played by Wendron have been declared null and void and all fixtures involving the club will be rescheduled.
