Staines win cheers Boon - Cordery

Blue Square South

Staines Town manager Steve Cordery hopes Saturday's FA Cup win at Shrewsbury will be a tonic for club chairman Alan Boon.

Boon has been suffering from heart problems but was delighted with Staines 1-0 victory at the League Two club.

Cordery told the BBC Non League Show: "Hopefully it will give Alan a little bit of a pick-me up.

"He was a little bit down but he was certainly a happy man on the way home on Saturday night."
