Just three of Lancashire's Vodkat League clubs were in action on Saturday, as the rain took its toll on the weekend's programme.
In the Premier Division, Ramsbottom competed well for 75 minutes before a late New Mills blitz earned the third-placed side a convincing 5-1 win.
New Mills began strongly as Adam Mather side-footed a shot high into the net.
Carlos Meakin doubled New Mills' advantage seven minutes later with a cracking shot from 25 yards.
Ramsbottom hit back on the half-hour when New Mills keeper Dominic Ingram Hughes spilled Ed O'Neill's cross, and John Blackley fired home the loose ball from close range.
With 13 minutes remaining, former Bacup striker Tommy Turner added a third goal for New Mills with a shot under the keeper, and grabbed another three minutes later when he found time and space to rifle home into the far corner.
A minute later Ramsbottom's John Robinson was red carded for a late challenge, before New Mills sealed victory with an own goal.
Elsewhere, an 18th-minute goal from Colne's Mark Threlfall earned his side a 1-0 win at Flixton.
Michael Cruz released Mark Tindall down the right and his first time cross to the far post was headed home by Threlfall.
In the other game, Squires Gate edged past Alsager Town with a 1-0 win thanks to a second half penalty from Isaac Kusaloka.
