Chris Flood headed in a dramatic late winner as Salisbury saw off Eastbourne.
A dull game saved virtually all the excitement until the closing moments when Eastbourne's Neil Jenkins was sent off for clashing with Ryan O'Hara.
And Flood made the home side pay, heading home Sean Clohessy's resulting free-kick deep into injury time.
Salisbury had the better of the first half but Boro keeper Danny Knowles was in fine form while Eastbourne edged the second period until Flood intervened.
