Moses Ashikodi levelled for Kettering before the break
Kettering fought back from a goal down against Stevenage to stay second in the Blue Square Premier table and extend their unbeaten league run to six games.
Stevenage raced ahead on two minutes when Poppies keeper Lee Harper fumbled Joel Byrom's direct free-kick.
But Moses Ashikodi levelled for the home side midway through the first half with a shot from outside the area.
Francis Green almost grabbed an injury-time winner for Kettering but his shot was turned behind by keeper Chris Day.
Second-place Boro remain a point and a place ahead of Kettering, are now unbeaten in their last 13 league games.
