AFC Wimbledon 1-2 Kettering

Two goal in two minutes set Kettering up for their fifth consecutive league win at AFC Wimbledon.

Greg Taylor fired them into the lead with a well-guided shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the area.

Their second followed in rapid succession when Danny Thomas drilled a 25-yard effort into the top corner.

Kettering's double-strike sparked Wimbledon into life and they pulled one back when Jon Main headed in Danny Kedwell's knock-down.

AFC Wimbledon boss Terry Brown told BBC Surrey:

"I have to say I was pleased with the performance and not the result really,

"We've lost two back to back games at home and that's very disappointing. I thought our performance today was very, very encouraging. I think we're very nearly a good side, we're a goal-scoring midfielder away from being a good side I feel."

Kettering Town manager Mark Cooper told BBC Radio Northampton:

"We had a great start and made the cardinal sin of conceding and that changes the complexion of the game and gives them a bit of a lift.

"We ended up having to defend and when we didn't get a third goal it was be a bit anxious.

"But we saw it through well."
